We are pleased to inform you that a new encoder series has become available in our product range. Please, find hereunder some technical information about the new multi-turn absolute encoders series MEM.
The absolute encoders MEM always provide the actual position data at the system power on, despite possible shaft rotations; therefore there is no need to reset to the zero point after a power down.
The data memory is assured for over 13 years; rotating the encoder shaft during power off decreases the maintainance time.
The data reset function is available for any position. The operating principle of the encoders MEM is thoroughly electronic – no gear involved – and allows to achieve high acceleration and long lasting.
The resolution of the encoders series MEM is high: up to 13 bits info/revolution (corresponding to 8192 info/rev.) x 15 bits rev. (corresponding to 32768 rev.), in binary or Gray code.
They are supplied with 5/28 Vdc and provide SSI serial output signal - which make them directly connectable to PLC systems. The CAN OPEN output option will be available soon.
The following mechanical versions are currently available: MEM520 - Ø.58 mm round flanged with servo coupling, MEM540 - Ø 58 round flanged with Ø 36 mm centering mask, MEM620 - 63.5X63.5 square flanged.
