Incremental encoders production
IIncremental encoders, Elap leading company for incremental encoders production.

An incremental encoders is a device that reports the shaft angle within a 360° range. An incremental encoder does not lose its position after a power-down and provides the absolute position upon power-up without requiring a home cycle or any shaft rotation. A traditional incremental encoder has one track per encoder bit, and provides one fixed resolution.
An incremental encoder can serve as a pseudo-absolute encoder by providing a battery backup power supply to the encoder or by executing a home cycle after power-up. But a true absolute encoder does not need a backup power supply or a home cycle.
Miniature incremental rotary encoders with (E31/E31H) or without (E30/E30H) zero pulse. The number of available
ppr ranges from 2 to 500 for the series E30/E31 and between 1000 and 3600 for the series E30H/E31H with high ppr
number. The construction technology relying on compact and innovative electronics allows to achieve high performances
at a contained price level.

Incremental rotary encoders, with or without zero pulse, with 58 mm diameter round flange, 36
mm diameter centering mask and 3 M4 fixing holes on diameter 48 mm.
The compact electronic circuitry joins perfectly with the reliable and thoroughly tested
mechanical construction, allowing to keep a favourable price/performance ratio
Elap S.p.A was founded in 1968 in Milan, and soon developed its activity in the field of counting and positioning equipments for industrial automation.
