Encoder MEM SSI

Product Description

Single and multiturn encoders with Synchronous Serial Interface

The SSI protocol – Synchronous Serial Interface – is a high-performance serial communication protocol commonly used in industrial applications. MEM SSI absolute encoders leverage this protocol to transmit position data to PLCs and other control systems with high accuracy and reliability.

Offering simple implementation, minimal configuration, and limited wiring, the SSI protocol is robust against noise and electromagnetic interference. MEM SSI encoders deliver outstanding performance with
– up to 28-bit resolution,
– high data transmission rates
– strong resistance to electrical disturbances
– binary or Gray code available.

The encoders series MEM can be supplied in single or in multiturn version, with high resolution values: up to 13 bits info/revolution (corresponding to 8192 info/rev.) x 15 bits rev. (corresponding to 32768 rev.), in binary or Gray code.

Several mechanical versions are available to satisfy all application requirements: round flange, square flange, hollow shaft, with different options for the shaft diameter and connection position and type.

The encoder MEM520 can be coupled to WPS or WDS wire mechanic to obtain a wire encoder with strokes ranging from 2.3 to 15 metres and SSI output signals.
