Multiturn encoders with IO-Link interface

The absolute encoders MEM-Bus  with IO-Link interface, seamlessly integrate into network architectures based on this protocol.

 IO-Link is a point-to-point communication protocol that enables simplified communication between sensors and Ethernet or fieldbus networks on production lines. It is compatible with most industrial fieldbuses, making it easy to integrate into existing systems.

IO-Link encoders are easy to install thanks to the reduced cabling required by the protocol and the auto-parameterization function of network devices.

MEM-Bus encoders offer all the typical features of smart sensors, such as the diagnostic function signalling any errors in parameterization, position, and temperature, and the possibility set operating parameters – the number of revolutions, steps per revolution, rotation direction, and a preset.

The encoders are  multi-turn with 29-bit resolution (8192 positions per revolution for 65536 revolutions).

Three mechanical versions are available, with housing size 58 mm and solid shaft: MEM540B and MEM520B with round flange, and MEM620B with square flange.

The electrical connection is by M12 connector. The stout aluminum housing guarantees a high protection degree, allowing the use of the encoders even in harsh industrial environments.

The encoder MEM520B can be coupled to WPS or WDS wire mechanic to obtain a wire encoder with strokes ranging from 2.3 to 15 metres and IO-Link connection protocol.
